Whole Natural Flavors from Orchard del Sol

For me August signals a time to prepare for my departure down back to Costa Rica. 2018 is the mark of a complete 25 years.

Orchard del Sol has been a remarkable adventure. For those who have had the opportunity to visit the comments are often the same. " Oh what a beautiful place and the energy is wonderful."

This 2018 was not a large harvest for us. Cycles dictate quantity. Quality is dictated by the care that is given to the plants and the harvesting process itself.

Always I credit Ramon, Eduardo and their family with the outcome when it comes to the pepper harvest.

This year found the big interest to be in vanilla. After all these years I finally broke down and sold my vanilla production to one client. It will have been the highlight of the season for me.

Vanilla will remain my passion. With the price of vanilla beans bringing from $800 to $1000. per kilogram, it was pretty hard to not want to pollinate every vanilla flower I saw.
